September 11th, 2001. Tragedy stuck. The Twin Towers had been struck, the people dying, and Gerard Way, a 24 year old man simply minding his own business until it had all happened. He had witnessed what soon became known as 9/11. The truama he was carying with an already hard past had him therapy. He bagan to express these emotions through music. This was the same year that My Chemical Romance was born. Gerard Way, his brother Mikey Way, a man named Matt Pelissier, and another man named Ray Toro¹, Formed a garage band. The name was originally sugessted by Mikey Way, who had gotten his idea from a book title- that being "Ecstacy: Three Tales of Chemical Roamance." After releasing theyre debut album named I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love, Frank Iero had enjoyed the music and decided to join the band. This was in 2002. Over time, they made more music together, releasing they're second album Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge in 2004.
